Stability:
1. The crystal structure is a trimer with a melting point of 205°C (decomposition), soluble in chloroform, dichloromethane, acetone, acetonitrile and ether. It is insoluble in water, petroleum ether and ethanol, and decomposes by heating in ethanol. It is insoluble in sodium chloride, sodium nitrite and sodium acetate solution, but soluble in potassium iodide aqueous solution to produce palladium iodide (PdI2) solid and PdI2-4 red solution. Dissolved in aqueous hydrogen chloride to generate PdCl2-4. It can form complexes with pyridine, 2,2-bipyridine, isoquinoline, diethylamine and triethylamine [107].
2. Palladium acetate has low toxicity and can be stored in the air.
